Adult Posture Correction Treatment
It is not a new concept that manual correction can improve appearance and body shape. It is very popular in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, etc. You can see many Japanese or Taiwanese celebrities using manual correction to improve their appearance and body shape on the Internet and YouTube. Ordinary people may wonder how it can be done without injections or surgery.
Adult back and posture correction therapy is aimed at treating back pain, uneven shoulders, uneven pelvis, and leg length discrepancy. First, the cervical spine, thoracic spine, and pelvis are corrected by manipulation, and then the muscles are loosened by manual massage.
Anyone, young or old, can suffer from hunchback, which can affect the spine and even increase the chances of suffering from various pains in the future. Now let's take a closer look at the two main types of hunchback.
Type 1: Typical hunchback with bulging back. This type is the most typical hunchback, and the location of hunchback mainly occurs in the fourth to seventh thoracic vertebrae (T4-T7). It bulges backward from the lower part of the shoulder blade and the back, the pelvis tilts backward, the head tilts forward, and the body's center of gravity tilts backward, causing the heel to be stressed for a long time, giving the person a droopy feeling. Since the entire center of gravity falls on the heel, the heel is more prone to inflammation, pain, and bone spurs.
The second type: latent hunchback with protruding lower abdomen. This type is latent hunchback. It is often not noticed until it becomes serious. The affected area is the seventh cervical vertebra or the first thoracic vertebra to the seventh thoracic vertebra (C7, T1-T7). It starts from the top of the shoulder blade and extends to the back and bulges backwards. The accumulated hunchback posture will cause the lower cervical vertebra to protrude backwards, forming thick fat behind the neck and back, and the pelvis tilts forward, increasing the curvature of the lumbar spine, and the center of gravity of the body tilts forward, so the toes and forefoot are most stressed. This type of patient is more likely to experience low back pain or waist weakness, and the toes and forefoot are also prone to pain or thickening. Most people who suffer from latent hunchback are women over 50 years old.
In fact, whether you are suffering from neck pain, headache, sciatica, etc., you will find that everyone has a common problem, which is hunchback. hunchback may sound like an aesthetic problem, but it is not the case. hunchback can cause spinal displacement and cause nerve compression and other pain.
Real Case:
Ms. Hou is a 36-year-old cashier. She originally wanted to receive treatment because of neck pain and difficulty in deep breathing. During the initial assessment, she was diagnosed with hunched back and slumped shoulders, which caused her chest to shrink and could not be straightened. Although she knew that her appearance was not good, she was unable to improve it herself. Because Ms. Hou's work requires her to bow her head frequently, she gradually developed a hunched back. Over time, her spine became deformed and dislocated. First, Ms. Hou was given chiropractic adjustment of the facial, neck and thoracic vertebrae. After the first correction, she felt that her breathing was much smoother and she could take a deeper breath without feeling pain. After one month of treatment, she was finally able to hold her chest straight, and the pain in her neck and back was eliminated. Her overall body shape was much more beautiful than before, and she became more confident. In addition to receiving treatment, Ms. Hou also needs to learn to do spinal exercises regularly and choose appropriate underwear to help maintain spinal health and body shape.
