Ankle Pain/Flat feet
The ankle often suffers from pain and numbness due to standing for a long time and incorrect walking posture. If the patient has a sprained ankle, the chance of spraining it again will increase. Therefore, we should pay attention to our posture, wear suitable shoes, and avoid standing and walking for a long time. One of the common foot problems is flat feet. Flat foot is a condition in which the longitudinal foot arch on the inner side of the patient's foot collapses. Many adults with flat feet also suffer from ankle and gait problems.
Flat foot is a very common foot problem in Hong Kong, but it is often ignored by patients. Because patients with flat feet do not detect any symptoms for some time at first. Even parents who pay great attention to their children's health may only notice that their children have a slightly abnormal gait when walking, or feel tired after walking a short distance. Flat feet are often caused by abnormal tissues in the feet, and it is believed that it is greatly affected by genetic factors. Flat feet can also be classified into: congenital flat feet, acquired flat feet and rigid flat feet.
